Bocci, 21.1m Single Pendant with Mini Canopy Light
During the making of 21 by Bocci raw porcelain sheets are first flattened and given shape of pancakes; these pancake-shaped porcelain pieces are then left to assume a shape of their own after wrapping them around a frosted borosilicate glass inverted trumpet diffuser. Due to this, each self-molded form of the porcelain attains a slightly different shape than others. This naturally adopted shape of the porcelain sculpted pendant when gets illuminated through a xenon 20-watt bulb creates a picturesque imagery, pleasing to the eyes.
The low-voltage pendant light is designed to be clustered in any random-fashion an environment may suit. Several 21.1m pendants clubbed together create a beautiful picture together, as they hang at different heights touching each other in no definite pattern. Wherever made to hang, they will glow like a cluster of clouds during the sunset with the sun setting behind them. The light when passes through borosilicate glass diffuser and sleek porcelain layer a strong contrast is produced owing to their different material forms and physical properties.
The cluster of pendants can be hung anywhere in home, in bars or restaurants, and in public and private spaces alike. The canopy is 1 inches diametrically and 0.5 inches in depth, while the coaxial cable that connects pendant to the canopy is 3 meters in length as standard-it can be further customized up to 36 meters. The pendant is designed by Omer Arbel. It is made by Bocci in Vancouver, Canada.
